Stay at The Malvern and head to the beautiful Malvern Hills only a 10 minute drive away, pick up a walking map from the hotel and be sure to find something to suit everyone from families to serious walkers.
The Malvern Hills area is unique for containing a wide variety of landscapes in a small area, making it an ideal location for a walking or cycling holiday. In 1959 Malvern Hills was officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which has made it extremely popular as a tourist destination.
Key features of the Malvern Hills are its bio-diversity, cultural heritage and tranquillity. Tranquillity is a particularly key feature of the Malvern Hills. Walks and cycle routes within the area, along with the specialised bus route, allow residents and visitors alike to enjoy the area without the imposing rush of traffic. Special attention is given to the tranquillity of the area via low levels of built development, traffic, noise and artificial lighting.
Part of the Vision within the Malvern Hills AONB Management Plan is … ’to maintain an oasis of tranquillity where the air is pure, the land free from litter, the water clean, the rural views from the main Hills uninterrupted by development, the skies clear of low-flying aircraft and filled only with the sound of skylarks’.
