We are proud to offer a cheeseboard compiled of entirely locally sourced British cheeses from the Cheeseboard delicatessen in Malvern, demonstrating the vast diversity of the cheeses available, which rival many Continental cheeses.
There are examples of cheese made from three types of milk – cows, ewes and goats. Going down the page the cheeses are listed in order of strength, starting with the mildest.

Capricorn goat’s brie Made at Lubborn in Somerset from locally sourced goats milks, making a wonderful English pasteurised goats brie with vegetarian rennet.
Barnards Green A young unpasteurised sheep’s milk only aged for 2 to 3 months, with a unique flavour only to be found in Malvern.
Hereford red Silky flavours with unpasteurised milk, annatto colouring with vegetarian rennet.
Fowlers Warwickshire Arden Oak Smoked Truckle Traditional hand crafted Warwickshire Truckle is delicately smoked with oak wood, giving a unique flavour to the creamy textured fine cheese. The truckle is cloth bound whilst maturing in our cellars and when ready for sale is stripped and smoked.
Worcestershire sauce with shallots A hand-made 4 to 6 month old mature cheese blended with Worcestershire sauce and shallots unpasteurised cows’ milk and vegetarian rennet.
Hereford hop 4 to 6 month old cheese, rolled in toasted edible hops, made from unpasteurised milk with vegetarian rennet.
Double Worcester Delicious variation on double Gloucester but matured longer for more flavour. Made with pasteurised cows milk and vegetarian rennet. Elgar Mature Elgar Mature is a 10 month old matured farmhouse cheese, good strong flavour, natural rind, unpasteurised cows milk and vegetarian rennet. Hand made by Lightwood Cheese
Cropwell Stilton Smooth and creamy, with distinctive blue veins which become more strongly defined as the cheese matures. The aroma is sharply nutty and the flavour is full of mellow nuts and fruit.
Shropshire blue Coloured with annatto, the blue spreads like ‘shattered porcelain’ through the cheese. A firm, yet creamy texture. the taste is of burnt caramel blended with the sharper ‘blue
