Health Club Update

I hope you are well and enjoying your time back at The Malvern, its lovely to see so many familiar faces. We have been delighted with the level of positive feedback and appreciate all your support and patience.
As you are aware, on opening we had to bring in limits on your usage at the club. This was to limit capacity in accordance with Government guidelines.
As promised, we have been carefully monitoring the booking system and usage and we are pleased that after this initial two-week period we are in a position to change this process, allowing greater ease of use.
From Saturday August 8th the new limits are as follows:
Gym Booking: we are pleased to confirm that gym sessions are now unlimited and there are no restrictions on how often you can visit the gym. You will still be required to book in for your slot by choosing your time on the member booking area of our website https://www.themalvernspa.com/health-club/classes/ or by calling 01684 898290. By booking your slot we can ensure the gym still operates at the reduced capacity needed for social distancing. In addition, this system will enable us to comply with the Government track and trace system.
If you arrive at the club and have not booked into a slot, then please take a couple of minutes before entering the building to register your visit online. Each slot will still have a window of 1hour, however as there is no limit on how many visits you can have you are welcome to book concurrent slots to have a longer workout.
Due to the lifting of the Government enforced shielding we will be removing these sessions from the timetable. If you would like to visit during a quieter period, please ask our team who can advise you on the best times to visit.
**The changing rooms still remain out of use for gym and class usage, so we would ask that you still come ready to workout.
Class Booking: In our previous correspondence we initially limited class booking slots to 3 visits per week. After analysing usage, we are happy to take off these restrictions and allow unlimited class bookings.
Platinum members: Thank you for your patience as we aimed to give everyone the same opportunity to exercise. We are now in a position to allow you to book 3 slots per week with your 8 day advance window, along with unlimited classes in the usual 7 day window.
We are confident with our processes in place and additional outdoor classes we can cater for everyone.
Class sizes remain the same: 9 indoor participants and 14 outdoors.
The booking process for these slots remains the same.
Pool Booking: We initially limited pool booking slots to 3 visits per week. After analysing usage, we are happy to increase these booking slots to 5 visits per week.
The booking process and time allowance (60 minutes in the pool area plus 15 minutes in the changing rooms) for these slots remains the same.
These booking policies will continually be reviewed and amended whenever there are operational or government guideline changes.
Please note that as of August 8th the list of businesses that require you to wear a face mask has been extended. We will now be requiring you to wear a mask on entering the building and whenever you are walking through a public area. Masks are not mandatory in the gym, poolside or wherever you are sat down at a table or lounging in the relax room.

Don’t forget that August is ‘Eat out to Help out’ month and we are pleased to be taking part. You can enjoy 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks ( up to a maximum of £10pp) every Monday -Wednesday throughout August throughout the day. In addition to this Government scheme you are still able to use your member discount.
